MedQuest College offers an ABHES-accredited, 10-Month Comprehensive Medical Assisting Diploma program with campuses in Louisville (10400 Linn Station Road) and Lexington, catering to Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Students benefit from an accelerated learning pace and a uniquely practical approach, with 70% of instruction being hands-on in fully operational clinical labs. Students have the flexibility to choose between blended learning (online and on-campus) or a 100% on-campus format at either location.
The program’s objective is to prepare students to perform both the administrative and clinical duties essential for daily healthcare facility operations. Key clinical competencies include:
- Setting up and administering EKGs
- Performing phlebotomy and giving injections
- Collecting and coordinating laboratory samples
- Assisting doctors with minor surgical procedures
Graduates earn a Comprehensive Medical Assisting diploma and are eligible to sit for the national certification examination through The American Medical Technologists (AMT) to obtain the RMA (AMT) credential.
