will my aapc ceus for my cpc suffice for the CE requirement for rma from amt?
Hi Bridget,
Great question! The short answer is, Yes I believe your AAPC CEUs would qualify for your RMA CE.
However, this question is best asked directly to the AMT as their policy doesn’t directly address your question on their website. That said, the language they use suggests that any “structured learning” credits from continued professional education should suffice.
You can learn more about the AMT’s qualifying activities for CCP requirements here on this page.
The AAMA (CMA) requires 60 CEUs and will accept 30 of these credits from sources outside of the AAMA.
Hope this helps! Just let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
I haven’t pass my AAMA test can I still get a job?
It depends on which state you live in. Use our tool here, select your state, and it will tell you if you need your certification or not.

Best,

This is my 1st time needing CCP. I became a RMA in 2015. I unfortunately went to a school that did not educate me or prepare me for the CCPs. I feel completely lost on how to obtain CCPs without having to spend tons of money on getting them. So far I have 2 years work experience for 10 CCP each year, I have 1 CPR class for 4 CCP, and I am planning on taking my CPR class again for another 4 CCP. I need 30 CCP as a RMA which leaves me 2 CCP left.
If someone could please “Show me the ropes” I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thank you!!!
