As, I’m sure you can imagine, it may take a pay bump to convince a medical assistant to move to Alaska.
Although it can be enticing to consider moving to a region that statistically pays medical assistants more money, you must take many things into consideration.
First of all, many of the areas that pay higher do so because the cost of living in that region is higher. This means that even though you may earn a higher salary, your standard of living may not improve.
In some cases, it could even become lower despite your increased salary. Make sure you do your research.
If you see an area that pays well that you may be interested in relocating too, then research that area’s cost of living to make sure the pay bump will be worth it.
