Medical Assistant Certification in Maine
Maine doesn’t require medical assistants to obtain certification for employment, however many employers do require a certificate. The AMA (American Medical Association) recognizes 2 certifications for medical assistants, the CMA or Certified Medical Assistant and the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Possessing either certification will significantly enhance your occupation options and earnings.
The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is the organization that produces the certificate providing official credentials of CMA.
